Puscifer is such a band that is really hard to explain - both in terms of the sound and the concerts. The experimental electronic post-industrial sound created by the band is definitely very different from most of the bands. Apart from Tool and a Perfect Circle, this unique project of Maynard James Keenan (vocals), along with Carina Round (Vocals) and Mat Mitchell (Guitar and Keyboards), has a very niche and dedicated fan base. The band is on the North American tour to celebrate the new album “Normal Isn’t,” and on April 3rd, the stop was in Bethlehem, PA, at the Windcreek Event Center. The album has elements of goth and punk, and both Maynard and Carina AKA Bellendia Black, were on their goth Avatars with red and black makeup. They were supported on this tour by Gunnar Olsen on the Drums and Josh Moreau on the Bass. The live show was something that one has to experience, which goes with the theme of the new album. I remember seeing them live after the release of the previous album, “Existential Reckoning,” and there were aliens on the stage - just to give a perspective. This time, with animations of Maynard and Carina on the big screen, it set the tone from the beginning. Dave Hill, who started the show before Puscifer, also joined them at the end to conclude the show. The Setlist consisted of songs from the new album along with the other popular ones like “Grand Canyon”, “The Humbling River”, and “The Remedy”. Overall, it was a great show, and we highly recommend to catch them live as the tour goes on till mid-May. Finally, a big shoutout to the management, organizers, and the venue for successful execution.
