One of the greatest guitarists of all time, a true Icon Slash is on the inaugural S.E.R.P.E.N.T. festival in celebration of blues music and his new album “Orgy of the Damned”. He was joined by names like - Warren Haynes Band, Keb ‘Mo’ Larkin Poe, ZZ Ward, Samantha Fish, and many more for different dates and venues. on August 5th the stop was in Bethlehem, PA at the Musik Fest 2024 at the Main Stage. The Line up for the night was The Hodge Podge, Grace Bowers, Robert Randolph, ZZ Ward, and finally Slash with his band. Before Slash it was ZZ Ward who took the stage. With his amazing presence, it was like a ray of sunlight on the stage with her amazing voice. Her setlist consisted of songs like - “My Baby Left Me”, “Cadillac Man” and his new single “Mother”. After her the stage was set for the final act of the night and around 9 PM Slash came on stage with all his glory. His amazing band who also contributed to the new album consisted of - Johnny Griparic on the bass, Teddy Andreadis on the keyboard, Michael Jerome on the drums, and Tash Neal on the rhythm guitar. Fans were cheering and excited to see the Guitar Legend on the stage and his persona was so enigmatic that it was hard to take the eye off from the stage. The musicians proved why a genre like Blues is needed to be celebrated where music is the most important thing. The setlist consisted of songs from the new album as well as some classic covers like - “Parchman Farm Blues”, “Oh Well”, “The Pusher”, “Shake Your Money Maker” and a lot more. Overall the night was a celebration of music especially one of the most culturally influenced genres.
