One of the most important Melodic Death Metal bands from North America, The Black Dahlia Murder, is touring North America accompanied by The Acacia Strain, Disembodied Tyrant, and Corpse Pile. The month-long tour is touching all the major cities and ending on May 2nd. On April 14th, the stop was at the Queen in Wilmington, DE. The night started with Corpse Pile and then with Disembodied Tyrant. It was almost 8:30 when the Acacia Strain took the stage. The metalcore band has a big following, and the performance was a blast of energy. Vincent Bennett was non-stop - running from one side to another and jumping all over the stage. The energy was very contagious to the audience. Matt Guglielmo on the drums, Devin "Big Slime" Shidaker and Mike Mulholland on the guitars, and Griffin Landa on the bass created a sound that will make anyone headbang. The setlist consisted of songs like “Carbomb” and “Beast”. At around 9:20, The Black Dahlia Murder took the stage. The band has been through so many changes, especially with the death of Trevor Strnad, the long-time vocalist. The band still came out strong with Brian Eschbach taking the responsibility of the vocals, Max Lavelle on the Bass, Ryan Knight and Wes Hauch on the guitars, and Alan Cassidy on the drums. The band has so many hits that resonated with the audience, with songs like “What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse”, “Everything Went Black”, and “Deathmask Divine”. The moshpit was active through out the set and Brian made sure to interact with the crowd constantly. Overall, it was a night to remember for any metal lover, and a big shout-out to the management, organizers, and the venue for the successful execution of the show.
