Two decades after reshaping the landscape of metalcore, Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine are back on the road to celebrate the 20th anniversaries of their breakthrough albums Ascendancy and The Poison. Their co-headlining "Poisoned Ascendancy" tour stopped at The Fillmore in Philadelphia on April 30th, delivering a night of relentless energy and pure nostalgia for longtime fans.
The night opened with a crushing set from Bleed From Within, followed by August Burns Red, who are joining the entire North American leg as main support. Both openers set the tone with blistering riffs and crowd-commanding presence, priming the audience for the chaos to come.
As Bullet and Trivium tore through front-to-back renditions of their landmark records, the crowd roared along to every riff and scream. Whether it was Bullet’s searing "Tears Don’t Fall" or Trivium’s anthemic "Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr," both bands proved that these albums still hit just as hard in 2025 as they did in 2005.
