Baroness was on their month-long US summer tour and we caught them at Broken Goblet Brewery in Bensalem, PA. The show was almost at the end of the tour with the support of Portrayal of Guilt and Filth is Eternal. It all started with Filth is Eternal - an Alternative Punk band from Seattle and they know how to start the show in full swing. 𝙇𝙞𝙨 𝘿𝙞 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙤 is a powerhouse who took the center stage in vocals and the band took the energy of the room to the top. The setlist consisted of songs from their newest album “Find Out” and many more. Next up was the Texas Black Metal band Portrayal of Guilt. One of the bands who is the flagbearer of the “Screamo” genre made the environment darker which the fans greatly appreciated. Throughout the set constant moshing was happening on the pit and the setlist consisted of songs like - “One Last Taste of Heaven”, “Master/ Slave”, “The Cricifixion” etc. Finally, It was the band that everyone was waiting for - Baroness took the stage at 10 PM. The band is known to create music that blends different genres like - Progressive, Sludge, and Alternative and they were able to create an environment where you would like to headbang but also like to appreciate the musical excellence. John Baizley on Guitar and vocals, Nick Jost on Bass, Gina Gleason on the Lead Guitar, and Sebastian Thompson on the Drums played music one after another and took the performance to the next level. The setlist consisted of songs like - “March to the Sea”, “Isak”, “Take My Bones Away”, and my personal favorite “Green Theme”. Overall it was a great night and kudos to the management, Organizers, and venue for the successful execution of the show.
