It was a rainy night in Philly on Oct 2, but the fans did show up at the packed open-air Stateside Live in Philly to witness Knocked Loose and Denzel Curry perform. They are touring North America to celebrate their new single “Hive Mind”. Superheaven and Boundaries also joined the tour as the opening acts, and they did not disappoint the Philly audience to kick off the night. Denzel Curry came on stage with a performance to look out for. The stage was set up with 2 big inflated figurines on 2 sides of the stage, and the smoke made it a different atmosphere. His energy was at a different level with songs like “Hit the Floor”, “Ricky”, “Walkin”. He came to the audience for his last set of songs, and he ended the set with Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name” and “Bulls on Parade”. Next up, the stage was extended to the back as it exposed the setup for Knocked Loose. The big dead trees and the glowing Cross in the middle - it was single and eerie. Nicko Calderon on Guitar, Kevin "Pacsun" Kaine on drums, Kevin Otten on the bass, Isaac Hale on the lead guitar, and Bryan Garris on the vocals created musical destruction on stage with song after song. Bryan is a vocalist of the present time who is definitely someone to be seen live. Isaac constantly interacted with the audience, and that led to constant moshing, crowd surfing, and walls of death. Knocked Loose is known to be a band whose live shows are the loudest, and fans are out of control to celebrate the band’s music. The night in Philly was no exception. Denzel joined them on stage for the song “Hive Mind”. The band performed other fan favorites like “Suffocate”, “Counting Worms”, and “Blinding Faith”. They are still touring, so we highly encourage fans to catch them live at a venue near you. Finally, a big shout-out to the organizers, management, and venue for the successful execution of the night.
