Lollapalooza 2023 was a great success at the famous Grant Park in Chicago. People flooded from all over the USA and beyond the border and a few spots of rain here and there could not stop them from enjoying themselves to the fullest. The Line up this year was massive with headliners such as - Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kendrick Lamar, Billy Eilish, The 1975, Tomorrow X Together, Lana Del Ray, and Odesza just to name a few. The sets were divided into 7 stages with performances throughout the day, the biggest stages among all were - The T-Mobile stage and Bud Light stage. It was humanely impossible to see all the performances while we were there from Aug 4 - Aug 6.
August 4 the Friday saw some massive performances by - Kendrick Lamar, The 1975, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and DJ Diesel. Knocked Loose etc. One of the highlights was when Jared Leto made a jump from the top of the Budlight stage. The 1975 put up an absolutely stunning show with Matty Healy being the center of attraction. Kendrick Lamar closed the night and the fans went crazy.
Saturday (Aug 5) saw some massive performances like - Odesza, Pusha T, Tomorrow X Together, The Revivalists, J.I.D., etc. I have to mention J.I.D. here and what a performance he put up - he is a powerhouse of energy that was contagious to everyone. Yung Gravy made the fans go absolutely crazy while he perform. The Revivalists put up a great show as they generally do. Odesza creates a futuristic environment with stunning music accompanied by a laser show. TXT just proved why they have become such a big name worldwide.
The closing day - Sunday the 6th was flooded with people to see two of the biggest headliners - RHCP and LDR. We heard a lot of people deciding if they would see Lana or Chili Peppers as they are taking on the biggest stages exactly the same time. Throughout the day other performances were setting the bard higher - Mt. Joy, The Backseat Lovers pulled the crowd to their great performances. Alan Walker literally set the stage on fire with some great pyrotechnics and great music. Joey Bada$$ and A Boogie wit da Hoodie kept the hip-hop vibe going on. Finally, the night ended with RHCP and Lana Del Ray. We were at the RHCP’s performance and it was spellbinding - Flea was on the highest energy possible, and Chad, John, and Anthony were on fire to put up one of the festival's best sets.
It was an amazing 4 days of one of the biggest music festivals in the world. I am sure fans are looking forward to the next year. A big shoutout to the organizers, Management, and “C3 Presents” for the successful execution.
