Texas Pop Punk pioneer Bowling for Soup is celebrating 30 years of the band and 20 years of their famous album “A Hangover You Don’t Deserve” by touring North America with the support of Wheatus and Don’t Panic. On September 12 the stop was at the Theatre of Living Arts AKA TLA in Philly. The fans were pouring in for the sold-out show and three bands were ready to rock. The first band was Pennsylvania’s very own Don’t Panic and they took control of the stage from the first song. They were able to set the tone of the night with some amazing pop punk numbers like - “Fall of ’99”, and “Numb”. The next band on stage was Wheatus. The band has a unique presence of stage with their found member Brendan B. Brown’s anecdotes after each song, 2 backing vocals, and an interesting drum set. The set was a real fun one for the audience. The setlist consisted of songs like - “A Little Respect”, “Lemonade” and one of the iconic songs of the ’90s “Teenage Dirtbag”. Finally, it was time for Bowling for Soup to come on stage. The band was missing the guitarist Chris Burney due to health reasons, but Gary Wiseman on Drums, Rob Felicetti on the Bass, and Jaret Reddick on the vocals/ guitar gave more than enough for what the fans were expecting for. The stage was perfect to match the band’s vibes. They interacted among themselves and the audience to make it more fun. They even had a contest going on to win the guitars that they were performing with during the tour. They performed the album “A Hangover You Don’t Deserve” in its entirety and some other songs as well. Most of the fans were singing the songs alongside the band. Overall it was a great night for the Pop-Punk lovers and We highly recommend catching them live as the tour goes on until the end of October. Finally a shoutout to the management, organizers, publicist, and the venue for the successful execution of the show.
