One of the most interesting Rock Supergroups of the present time, L.S. Dunes - the band formed during COVID with members from Saosin, My Chemical Romance, Coheed and Cambria, and Thursday- is touring North America. On April 15th, the stop was in Underground Arts, Philly, with the support of From Indian Lakes and Night Sins. Even though L.S. Dunes is quite a new band, they have gained a good fanbase with 2 great albums - Pas Lives and Violet. The night started with Night Sins, and it was a good start to get the energy of the room kicked start. FROM Indian Lakes was next with some great dreampop and shoegaze numbers to set the tone for the night. The focus was purely on music with songs like “No One Else” and “The Flow”. Finally, the stage was set for L.S. Dunes. MCR guitarist Frank Lero, Coheed’s guitarist Travis Stever, Thursday’s bassist Tim Payne, drummer Tucker Rule, and the frontman of the band Saosin’s Anthony Green, took control of the stage and the audience. Anthony Green is one of the iconic performers who was someone to look out for, and he literally goes into the crowd from time to time. Also Underground Arts is such a unique venue that it gives the fans a chance to see the artists so up close. To top it off, it was Anthony’s birthday night, so it was really special. The band performed a bunch of songs from both albums, and the setlist included songs like “Fatal Deluxe”, “Like Magick”, “Permanent Rebellion”, and “Violet”. Overall, it was a great night and we would highly suggest to see them live for the rest of the tour. A big shoutout to the management, organizers, and venue for the great execution of the show.
