One of the iconic Punk bands of all time, The Offspring, is on the road in celebration of their latest album, “Supercharged” alongside Jimmy Eat World and New Found Glory. On July 29th, the stop was in Camden, NJ, at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion. The excitement of the fans was clearly visible to experience the legandary band. The night started with one of the important pop punk bands from the 90s - New Found Glory. The band’s energy was great to kick off the night with songs like “My friends over you”, “All downhill from here”. It is great to see the members of the band - Jordan, Ian, Chad, and Cyrus sticking together for so many years. Next up, it was Jimmy Eat World - again, an important band that shaped the 90’s pop punk scene with consistent members for so many years. The frontman Jim Adkins, alongside Tom Linton on guitar, Zach Lind on the drums, and Rick Burch on the bass, definitely took the fans on a nostalgia trip with songs like “Sweetness”, “Bleed American”, and the iconic “The Middle”. Finally, the monkey man arrived on stage with the skeleton in the background on the big screen to indicate the legendary Offspring’s arrival. It is amazing to see a band that truly represents not only the California Punk scene but the genre as a whole for 40 years. With record breaking albums like “Smash” and “Americana” it is amazing to see a band with so many hits and they made sure to perform all the best numbers like - “The Kid’s aren’t Alright”, “You’re Gonna go Far, Kid”, “Pretty Fly (for a white guy)”, ”Come Out and Play”, “Self Esteem”. They also paid tribute to Ozzy by performing “Paranoid” and “Crazy Train”. It was a treat to see the legendary Dexter Holland, and Noodles - two of the oldest members of the band alsongside Todd Morse on the Bass, Jonah Nimoy on the Keyboards, and Brandon Pertzborn on the drums. Overall, it was a great night, and a big shoutout to the organizers, management, and venue for the successful execution of the show.
