One of the pioneers of the UK Metalcore scene, Architects, just wrapped their North American tour along with Erra and HoyWatr. On August 21st, the stop was in Philadelphia at the Fillmore. The night started off with HolyWatr with some great energy that was enough for the audience to get ready for the night. As a bonus, they even did a cover of Creed’s “One Last Breath” where Erra joined them on stage. Next up, it was Erra who basically dominated the stage. The progressive metalcore band was not just performace but pure musical technicalities with their songs like “Cure”, “Gun Grave”, “Snowblood”. Alex on drums, Jesse on Guitar and clean vocals, J.T. on vocals, Conor on Bass, and Clint on Rhytm guitars engaged the audiance for the whole set, and the constant flow of cloudsurfers proved it. Finally, it was time for the Architects all the way from Brighton, England. It is not a regular affair for the US audience to experience a UK band, and the anticipation was clear for the fans. The band perfomed song after song, and the circle pit became bigger as we progressed with the set. They performed a bunch of new songs from their 2025 album “The Sky, the earth & all between”. Sam Carter, on vocals, was pure energy who was moving constantly on the stage, along with him, Dan Searle on drums, Alex Dean on Bass, and Adam Christianson on guitar, proved why they are one of the most important bands of the present time. special mention for their touring members - Martyn Evans on guitar and Ryan Burnett on keys and guitar. Overall, it was absolutely a greta show and shoutout to the organizers, management, and the venue for successful execution.
