Between the Buried and Me, A.K.A. BTBAM - one of the most important names of the progressive metal scene of the early 2000s is touring North America. Their first stop was in Philly on September 14th alongside The World is a Beautiful Place and & I am No Longer Afraid to Die, A.K.A. TWIABP and “Hail the Sun”. One of the main reasons for the tour was to celebrate their latest album, “The Blue Nowhere”. The night started with TWIABP and Hail the Sun, and it was perfect for the fans with different genres of music - Emo to Post Hardcore. Finally, at 9:15 PM, the stage was all set for BTBAM. Tommy Giles Rogers on Keys and Vocals, Paul Waggoner on the Lead Guitars, Dan Briggs on the Bass and Keys, Blake Richardson on the drums, and touring with them, Tristan Auman on the Rhythm Guitars celebrated progressive metal music for the next 1 hour and 15 minutes. It was not only the foot-thumping or headbanging heavy metal, but it was also important how technical BTBAM is for those who appreciate the genre. They performed songs from the new album alongside songs from the old albums like “Informal Gluttony”, “Disease, Injury, Madness”. We highly recommend catching them live and checking out the new album “The Blue Nowhere”. Finally, shoutout to the management, organizers, and venue for the successful execution of the show!
