Brass Against, the music collective that creates brass protest music, is touring North America. The unique concept that you have to experience to know what it is. On Feb 26th, they stopped by at the Underground Arts in Philly, and it was a full house. It was one of the most energetic experiences at the venue in recent times. The band was formed back in 2016 by guitarist Brad Hammonds with the idea of raising social awareness and political statements with some great Rock music. Since then, the band created quite a stir with its music and performances. The band tours with different line-ups of some great musicians, and at the Philly show, they rocked with Frank Cohen on the trombone, Joe Exley on Tuba, Nathan Ellman Bell on the Drums, Andrew Gutauskas on the Sax, Brad Hammonds on guitars, and Liza Colby & Michael Cunio on Vocals. We have to specially mention the energy of Liza and Cunio - they took the performance to a different level. The sound of the band was really unique with the amalgamation of the Brass instruments and the guitar, and Drums for the songs that they performed. The audience did not shy away from participating in the sing-along. The setlist consisted of some of the Rock anthems like “Sabotage”, “Ace of Spades”, “The Pot”, “Immigrant Song”,  “Killing in the Name”, and also their original track “Umbra”. The tour is still ongoing, and we highly encourage catching them live. Finally, a shoutout to the management, organizers, and the venue for the successful execution of the amazing show.
