One of the iconic heavy metal bands of all time, Sepultura is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the band with a farewell tour (which probably might be the last tour as a band). On October 6th the stop was in Philadelphia at The Franklin Music Hall with support of Claustrofobia, Agnostic Front, and Obituary. The night started with Brazil’s very own thrash metal band Claustrofobia and fans were ready for the rest of the night. Next up was one of the most iconic bands from the New York Hardcore scene – Agnostic Front. The energy of the band was infectious and there was a point when Vinnie Stigma, the lead guitarist joined the circle pit. The band performed all the hits like – “Gotta Go”, “For My Family”, and “Victim in Pain”.  Next up it was the iconic Death Metal Legends Obituary from Florida and it was absolute destruction at Franklin Music Hall. Crowd surfing and moshing was a constant thing throughout their setlist as Tardy Brothers on vocals and drums, Trevor Peres on Rhythm Guitar, Terry Bulter on the Bass, and Kenny Andrews on the lead guitar took control of the stage. They performed iconic songs like -  “Redneck Stomp”, “Chopped in Half”, “Slowly We Rot” and more. Finally stage was cleared for the finale as Sepultura came along. The band with a legacy of 40 years and with changes in lineups still proves why they are one of the most iconic bands not only in Brazil but all over the world. With the addition of the new drummer Greyson Nekrutman, the band has got a different flavor along with the old guards Derrick Green on the vocals, Andreas Kisser on the guitar, and Pablo Jr. on the Bass. The band performed all their hits – “Refuse/ Resist”, “Ratamahatta”, and “Roots Bloody Roots”. During the song “Kaiowas” the band was joined by Donald Tardy of Obituary to play drums with Andreas. It was a celebration of the legacy of Sepultura in Philly and the fans paid respect to the band on their final tour. Finally a shoutout to the management and organizers for the successful execution.
