On May 3, the basement venue of Underground Arts became a space for raw sound, vulnerability, and full presence. Headliner SASAMI brought her Blood on the Silver Screen US tour to Philadelphia, joined by the mesmerizing Jia Pet, who made her Philly debut that night.
Jia Pet opened with a dreamy, atmospheric set that immediately pulled the crowd in. There was a sense of joy and emotional charge to her performance, both intimate and expansive, setting the tone for the rest of the night.
SASAMI’s performance was electric, blending heavy riffs with ballads, experimental textures, classical and pop influences, all held together by a magnetic stage presence. You couldn’t look away. She moved through the set with intention, creating a space that felt honest and fully present. With the crowd packed in close, the show felt personal; the distance between artist and audience disappeared. It wasn’t just a performance — it was a space to show up as you are.
