Show Me The Body A.K.A. SMTB was on their North America tour with High Vis and Philly was the second last stop on November 01 at the Brooklyn Bowl. It was a stacked lineup for the night with Black Noi$e starting off with some atmospheric sound. The music producer and DJ made appearances between the sets with music that draws influences from rock to roots music. Next up was BIB with a burst of energy on stage. It was the start of the moshing for the night and powerful hardcore sound was perfect to set the tone for the night. The genre of music took a different turn with Zelooperz up next. His attitude on stage was really easygoing and that made the audience vibe with his hip-hop numbers like - “Easter Sunday”, and “JayJay Z”. Up next it was High Vis, all the way from London. The band had a big-time following in the USA and Philly did not disappoint. They brought in the flavors of British Hardcore Punk on the stages of Brooklyn Bowl and the energy was contagious to the audience. The band performed songs like - “Walking Wires”, “Drop Me Out”, and “Choose to Loose”. Finally, the stage was cleared and set to complete darkness as SMTB arrived. The band is known for intense and relevant lyrics with genre-blending music with use of programming, samples, and use of banjo. Julian on Banjo and vocals, Harlan on Bass and Synthesizer, and Jackie on the drums were enough to grab the attention of the crowd not only by the music but also by the subtext of the songs - it was powerful. It was no nonsense deliverance of one song after another - “K-9”, “Arcanum”, “Metallic Taste”, a cover of “Sabotage” and “Stomach” with High Vis. Overall it was a perfect night for anyone who appreciates music and a big shoutout to the organizers, publicist, and management for the successful execution.
