"Six Feet Closer to the Hell" - this is what the 2025 North America tour is called, which is headlined by The Acacia Strain and accompanied by Bodysnatcher, Ingrown, Tribal Gaze, and No Cure. This lineup is a treat for Metal lovers, and on Aug 22nd, we were at the Theatre of Living Arts in Philly to witness it. It started with No Cure - the death metal band from Alabama kicked it off with some heavy punch. From Alabama to Texas, Tribal Gaze continued the destruction with some more death metal songs. The fans have already started moshing by now. Next up was the three-part Hardcore band from Idaho, Ingrown. With songs like “Hard Times” and “Waste”, they took the energy to another level. So much so that the drummer had to change the snare in the middle of the set. It was Florida’s Bodysnatcher up next with the deathcore sound, and it was heavy. The floor was literally thumping with the sound. The setlist consisted of songs like “King of the Rats”, “Take me to hell”, “Black of my eyes”. The stage was cleared for the final act - The Acacia Strain. Vincent Bennett is a powerhouse, and to accompany him on the destruction, it was Devin Shidaker on the lead guitar, Griffin Landa on the Bass, Mike Mulholland on the rhythm guitar, and Matt Guglielmo on the drums. For the next one hour, they showed why they are one of the most important names of the Deathcore genre. Vincent mentioned that they will continue releasing new albums to mention their 13th album “You are safe from God here” which is releasing soon. With a splash of water to the audiance and throwing the Mic stand at them, it was a treat for the fans, and it was showing with the constant flow of the crowdsurfers. The setlist consisted of songs like “The Beast”, “A Call Beyond”, and “Carbomb”. Overall, it was yet another great show at TLA, and kudos to the organizers, Management for successful execution.
