Lamb of God is such a name among the few names from the history of Metal that have conquered the test of time with the release of each of their albums. One of the pioneers of the new wave heavy metal music has a huge number of followers not only in the US but all over the world. With their new album “Into the Oblivion”, the band is on the road again, touring North America, and on April 18th, the Stop was in Reading, PA, at the Santander Arena. Joining them on the tour are three of the important heavy metal bands of this time - Sanguisugabogg, Fit for an Autopsy, and Kublai Khan TX. It all started when Sanguisugabogg took the stage at 7 PM. The stage with pieces of the human body hanging and the most complicated band name floating in the back screen - the band made the all needed start with songs like “Rotted Entanglement”, “Dead as Shit”, etc. Next up was NJ Deathcore band Fit for an Autopsy, with band members wearing the Reading Royals hockey jersey. The fans definitely appreciated. The band performed the best numbers like “Far from Heaven”, “Warfare”, and “The Wretch”. Next was Kulai Khan TX, from “No points for guessing” - Texas. The band is one of the most talked about metalcore bands right now, with Beats that hit the core of your body. The band took the energy of the room to the next level with songs like “Darwinism”, “Self-destruct”, “Theory of Mind”, and “Supreme Ruler”. The fans were ready for the next and final act. The stage was ready and covered with a curtain that says “Lamb of God”. The curtains fall, and the destruction began with Randy Blythe on the center stage on vocals, John Campbell next to him on the bass, Mark Morton and Willie Adler on the guitars, and Art Cruize on the drums in the back podium. It was unbelievable to see Mr. Blythe with the same energy, year after year, dominating the stage. With each song, the flow of crowdsurfers was constant, with a huge mosh pit in the middle of the floor. One hit song after another, the band showed why they are truly a legend of the genre, and the audience reciprocated. The setlist consisted of songs from the newest album and from the ones before, like “Redneck”, “Omerta”, “Sepsis”, “Into Oblivion”, and “Walk with me in Hell”. On a personal note - this is my fourth time seeing them live, and they never disappoint. Finally, a huge shoutout to the organizers, management, and the venue for a great execution of such a huge event. Highly recomment to catch Lamb of god live for the rest of the tour in the USA and then beyond.
